Republic of Slovenia and EU from European Regional Development Fund support best projects within public call "Enhancing innovation potential and competences in companies".

IRM Ltd. project Marina Master Sens Control was recognized as one of the best and innovative projects that will improve research & development potential and competitiveness of Slovenia companies. The main goal of the project Marina Master Sens Control is to improve marina management with implementation of new advanced solutions and latest technologies (smart phones, smart CCTV and more) enabling automated monitoring of marina berth's occupancy and other processes in marina. The result will be improved marina management, optimized service management and resources utilization in marina. Multi-award winning Soldiers Point Marina, located in Port Stephens Australia, started using this unique smart-phone based application and the result had its customers »Stunned« with the new service! This simple and user-friendly add-on enables customers to pre-order and have deliverd ice or supplies to their vessel from any mobile device. More amazingly, each Customer is issued with 2 tags, similar to those used for toll roads, one for the car and one for the boat. On approach by road, an alert is triggered as they pass a sensor about 3 km from the marina, which identifies the Customer’s car, generating a text message to the Marina Porter advising that the Customer is approaching. This allows the Porter to greet the Customer, park (or valet park in Soldiers Point Marinas case) their car in the Customer Car Park, unload supplies and assist with taking the Customer’s luggage to their vessel. When returning to the marina in their boat, sensor s located about 500meters around the perimiter of the marina generate a vessel identifying message and the Dock Master attends the correct berth to assist in docking and then with the unloading and returning of the Customer’s vehicle.
